Notice the date is when Lawyer/Chief Stewart C. Paul was first elected as chief. Also notice the names of the directors. Who are Beavers associates? This is the same Stone Bear that signed the last summers (no quorum) injunction along with Gerald Bear whom is also concerned with cultural improvement. (Notice: 2 cheque signers, two councillors and friend) What did these consulting services receive and what exactly did they do? We were unaware of the many businesses and consulting services the Maliseet Nation at Tobique had until we dug deeper in our fact finding mission. Here are a few; Nicholas Paul is the Chiefs brother and is director of our elusive Maliseet pharmacy. We now know of Neil Perley - Dir. of Ops for Tobique First Nation MNP Consulting . He was hired by DIAND to get us out of the red and look at us now. His degree is not in the field of financial management. Nor is Band Mngr. Sterling Perley who is a plumber assistant if that. Also there is a clear conflict of interest by assigning himself contracts. And if these people are getting paid for consulting, "they should all be investigated", we are over a very conservative estimate of $15 million in the hole and in Third Party with INAC with a casino and millions in revenues from TEDCO. We are asking for a forensic investigation as to the financial management of the Maliseet Nation at Tobique since Nov.29, 1989. When Chief Stewart Paul was first chosen as Chief. And we have more requests so the investigation is impartial and JUST. The police have been investigating for too long now. Another suicide which makes three and countless attempts in the last 2 years alone and at least 70% unemployed while these people continue to squander monies intended for the poor and social programs. We will not stand by any longer! We want answers now! |
